NOTICE OF COMINED HEARING: On Monday, September 25, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers , Ludington City Hall, 400 S. Harrison Street, Ludington, Michigan, the City Council for the City of Ludington will conduct a combined hearing to determine the necessity of the above described improvement and for purposes of confirming the proposed assessment roll, a copy of which is attached.
AMOUNT OF ASSESSMENT: The amount proposed to be assessed against your property is described in the attached proposed assessment roll.
APPEARANCE AND/OR PROTEST: You may appear for purposes of commenting upon or protesting the necessity of the improvement or amount of your proposed assessment by appearing in person or by an agent, at such hearing, or you may file your comments or protest in writing delivered to the City Clerk prior to such hearing. Appearance and protest, as described above, is required in order for you to preserve your right to appeal the amount of the special assessment to the Michigan Tax Tribunal.
APPEAL: An owner or party in interest in property may file a written appeal of the special assessment with the Michigan Tax Tribunal within 35 days after confirmation of the assessment roll, if the special assessment was protested at the hearing described above, held for the purpose of confirming the assessment roll.
