Notice is hereby given that the City of Ludington is requesting proposals from qualified Vendors for the procurement, design, installation, & configuration of a modern security video camera management system, to include a maintenance contract and cloud-based storage of data, for the City facilities identified in appendix A. (See Attached)
The primary goal of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to acquire the services of a Vendor able to provide a modern security video camera management system complete with adequate cloud-based storage and viewing capabilities both on-premises and via Cloud. The cameras MUST be National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) compliant, and not listed as prohibited in FCC-84 - Protecting Against National Security Threats to the Communications Supply Chain through the Equipment Authorization Program. (See: https://www.fcc.gov/supplychain/coveredlist)
The existing City of Ludington security cameras are outdated, and with two exceptions, are all included on the FCC prohibited manufacturer list. The current data storage system is a server-based system and does not have the capability to meet mandatory retention periods. As part of the USCG & Homeland Security Port Security review, one noted area of weakness was outdated and non-NDAA compliant security cameras. Additionally, there are several locations that require security cameras that are currently lacking cameras.
